music Alive! phase 2: pittsburgh public schools summer dreamers academy

A creative music-making project that ran for 6 weeks during the summer of 2012 at UPrep and King Schools in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania as part of the Pittsburgh Public Schools Summer Dreamers Academy. During the course of the project, we worked with young people to identify key issues in their community and create an original performance using their musical tastes, talents and ideas around the themes of identity, time, and race.

dialogue festivaL: Barbican Centre and Guildhall School of Music & Drama

London 2013

Every winter, the Barbican Creative Learning Department in collaboration with the Guildhall School of Music & Drama Master of Music Leadership Course puts on a festival, curated by Sigrun Sævarsdóttir-Griffiths and supported and assisted by masters' students and graduates of the program. Over the month-long course of the festival, hundreds of community members of all ages and backgrounds are engaged through creative music-making workshops that happen all over East London, culminating in large scale performances.
